will be the difference? you know vincent gray from the city council. you obviously were chosen by mayor fenty. what's going to be the difference in the administrations when it comes to your job and how you'll relate to the community? >> i think it's a great question. the big thing that stands out for me, especially in my conversations with him is, you know, his background -- our biggest challenge in 2011 is going to be challenging youth violence. as crime goes down and arrests go down, violence and arrests in juveniles is going up. that's a bad sign. our goal has to be reduced youth violence. his background in human services and social services is what i've been saying all along. we really need the support of all the social service agencies to intervene with young people before they get involved with the justice system, so i think that's going to be very complementary in the strategies we have. >> do you think that there will be more openness and more transparency and more communication under vincent gray than perhaps under adrian fenty? it seems like fenty had a tight grip on all things crime-wise
